Initial process: 

  • Email me via my online contact form to request a commission. Be sure to include the requested size, if you would like it to be color or black & white, any special requests, and the photo. If you have specific requests (e.g. colors, remove items from the background, remove people) please let me know in your email or book a consultation. 
  • If you require a consultation, you may book online via my booking system (launch TBD, submit a contact form for now). 
  • I will let you know what is possible and confirm the price with you. 
  • Requests to copy works by other artists will be declined. 

Contract: 

  • Whether we come to an agreement via email or via a consultation, you will be emailed a contract to sign. 35% deposit is required upon signing the contract. 
  • Please return this at your earliest convenience, as work will not begin until both parties have signed the contract and the deposit has been paid. 
  • A photocopy of the signed contract will be included with the shipped work. 

Payment: 

  • Three invoices will be sent at different stages of the process: 35% deposit invoice after signing, 65% remainder invoice one day prior to shipping, shipping cost invoice on day of shipping. All invoices are in CAD. 

Shipping: 

  • The shipping date will be specified in the contract and cannot be moved up.
  • Client covers shipping cost. 
  • If you would like insurance on your shipment, please be sure to let me know prior to shipping. 
  • A receipt from the shipping carrier will be scanned and emailed to you as proof of cost, along with a shipping invoice.  

Framing: 

  • No framing is provided by the artist. I can recommend framers in British Columbia. 

Consultations: 

  • If you are unsure of how you would like the photo to be worked, or if you would like to discussion options, I offer an initial 30-minute consultation at no charge. 
  • 30-minute consultations after this initial meeting are billed at $100. 
  • All consultations are online or over the phone.

Materials:

  • I use acrylic paint, gesso, water-wash, and ink on stretched, water-wash primed canvas. 
  • If you would like the painting to be un-stretched, un-primed or on another material altogether, please specify in your initial commission request email.

Returns: 

  • As each piece is unique to the client, no returns are possible. It is up to the client to choose an artist best suited for the commission.
